Company Info: Based in New Jersey, this company provides landscape architectural design-build services to the greater New England area. Plans are in place to branch out to become a multi-disciplinary practice including architectural and urban planning services.
Job Description: Prepare plans in conjunction with other company disciplines. Project documentation includes, but isn’t limited to, preparation of irrigation plans, night-lighting layouts, custom garden designs, site layouts, construction detailing, pond design, and wetlands mitigation Other responsibilities include: cost estimating, project budgeting, client contact and sales, site design and billing.
Desired Qualifications: A full knowledge of plant material (trees, shrubs, and perennials) hardy to New England area (zone 5) required. Strong organizational skills and communication are required to work effectively within company department. You must have excellent plan graphics and design skills. Must be able to work one-on-one with client(s) to sell company services, design ideas, etc.
Required Years of Experience: Licensure not required. Candidate must have a degree in Landscape Architecture (or related field). Sales training and/or MBA would benefit the candidate. 4-6 years of experience is necessary.
Citizenship: Must be a United States citizen and have a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
Benefits: $90-100,000 salary, 401(k), health insurance, and company vehicle
